Location

Follow the one-way system in the centre of town until you come to a sharp right turn where you can see the "New Ashgate Gallery" just ahead. The Maltings car park is to the left of the gallery. Park near the entrance, then walk back out of that entrance, turning immediately left into a narrow cobbled street. The church is about 100m away, at the first bend. Follow the path around the church in a clockwise direction until you come to an obvious tower entrance up a couple of steps. The door has been covered with a black painted steel sheet with wooden batons.
The pitch of the spiral staircase varies, as does the headroom. Mind your head!
