Louise and Steve have three dogs: |
Nell, a.k.a Nellie, a.k.a Nelly-Dean |

Nell is a pure-bred Welsh Border collie. She was given to us on the 14th of May 1999 by Rory Major, our ex-milkman. Rory had been training
Nell as a working sheep-dog, but she failed her exams, so is now our friend.

Sally |

Sally is a Shetland Sheepdog. We rescued her at the Second Chance, April 2001. She was born in
September, 2000. She had been a much loved family pet, but medical reasons made her need a new home. We're that new home - where she's still much loved, and also very loving!

Poppy |

Poppy is a curious mixture, perhaps a cross between a Dachshund and a Labrador (impossible, you'd say!). We found her at the Second Chance rescue home on Sunday 17th November, 2002. She was then perhaps two years old, but it is very hard to guess - she still looks like a puppy.
She is called "Poppy" because her first trip out of the rescue home was on Remembrance Day, the 11th of November. See Poppy

Past dogs:
Kerry
Kerry was rescued from a farmer during our holiday in Co. Kerry, Ireland, 1989. She was a pure-bred Welsh Border Collie, who had three great loves in her life: Food, Swimming and us. We took the
farmer to the pub on the last night of our holiday, poured five pints of Guiness down his throat then asked "Do you want to sell your dog?" After ten
happy years with us, Kerry had to be put down on Friday 16th April, 1999. See Kerry

Lucy
Lucy was the original dog. She was born about 1982, and was bought as a puppy by Louise. She was a
mixture of border collie and King Charles spaniel to look at, although neither of her parents were a spaniel.
She was put down on Tuesday the 29th of February, 2000 after a long battle with cancer. See Lucy

Polly |

Polly was bought at the RSPCA rescue centre in Quinton Birmingham, Easter 1988. She was a "mostly Alsacian" loveable mutt.
Polly had a stroke and was put down on Sunday the 14th of August 2005
